The inpatient programs at Del Amo Behavioral Health System are designed to help those dealing with acute mental health issues. Our highly structured and therapeutic environment is suited for those requiring crisis stabilization. Our combination of therapeutic and recovery interventions helps the patient work through their mental health issues and teaches them resilience, change and healthy coping skills.

Crisis stabilization begins with an assessment prior to admission to a mental health hospital to determine if hospitalization is appropriate. During their stay, patients will be engaged in daily therapeutic programming and socially structured activities. Each treatment plan is individualized to the patient and developed and reviewed by our multidisciplinary team. The program features include:

  • Individualized case management
  • Process orientated therapy group
  • Life skills group
  • Medication management
  • Recreational and leisure therapy
  • Music therapy
  • Anger management group
  • Psychotherapy group
  • Discharge planning
  • Family involvement
  • Relapse prevention

Inpatient Medical Detox

At Del Amo Behavioral Health System, we know that addiction is an illness and we treat it as such. We also understand that it often goes hand in hand with mental health issues, and treating these issues together results in a better chance at lasting recovery.

In some cases, medically managed detox may be necessary as part of our crisis stabilization treatment. For many who are chemically dependent, they cannot truly focus on the treatment process until they have been stabilized. At that point, they are ready to begin their restorative path toward recovery.

Recovery is a lifelong journey, which is why we work with a variety of outpatient providers to connect patients with appropriate key aftercare services that help with community integration and successful living.

Effective recovery continues past hospitalization; our dedicated treatment team assists with transitioning to the next level of care, helpful community resources, safe placement and mental health providers.

Inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

Our child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient treatment for mental health is designed with child and teen mental health needs in mind. It’s important when dealing with a child or adolescent that is struggling with a mental illness to get the proper help that is needed. Your child is unique, and your adolescent behavioral services need to be too. We work with the family during inpatient mental health care for minors in order to help build a foundation for success for your loved one.
